Dr. Robert Hagan was born in the northern community of Flin Flon Manitoba & after obtaining a BSc(Zoology) from the University of Manitoba he entered the Western College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1983. The first step in his veterinary career was working at the Northern Veterinary Clinic in The Pas & Flin Flon Manitoba. After 13 months of mixed animal practice Dr. Bob decided to move to Calgary to become a 100% small animal veterinarian & be much nearer the mountains.
Dr. Gira was born in a small farming community. After receiving his diploma in Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, he decided to pursue his veterinary dream. Six years later, he graduated with honours from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Kosice, Slovakia. Dr. Gira moved to Calgary in 2001 and spent a couple of years focusing on nutrition and the treatment of animal pain. In 2004, he accepted a position in Fort McMurray at one of the first practices in Alberta that utilized surgical and therapy lasers. This has since become his area of passion and interest.
Dr. Erin O’Brien was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and attended the University of Calgary to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology. She then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to pursue her childhood dream of veterinary medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2011, Dr. O’Brien moved back to Calgary where she started working at a small animal hospital until 2018.
Professionally Dr. O’Brien interests include preventive medicine, pain management and endocrinology. When not working, Dr. O’Brien enjoys spending time with her 2 young daughters, husband Derek and 2 rescue cats
Currently Dr. O’Brien is accepting patients at Sabadilla Animal Clinic, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 am-4 pm and can be reached via email [email protected]
